According to reports, Apple is debating pricing that would be similar to the iPhone’s current price range of $800 to $1,600. Apple intends to employ lesser expensive components in the budget headset. Apple is considering further strategies to lower the cost of the product. This might lead to lower resolution screens, less expensive parts, fewer sensors, a slower Processor speed, and a lack of the H2 chip, which lowers latency when used with AirPods.

The firm is still focused on releasing the initial headset at a slightly greater cost to gauge demand for such a device. Apple allegedly developing a less expensive iPhone has been the subject of rumors since last year. Last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple intended to release a less expensive mixed-reality headset around 2025.
