WildWalls augmented reality features are hosted on the HOVERLAY app, available on all smartphones. Download the app and take yourself on a unique self-guided tour through Jackson. Whether you’ve lived here for 10 years or are visiting for 10 days, WildWalls will open your eyes to Jackson like never before.
Blank alley walls are transformed into an open-air gallery that runs through September, and into October if weather permits.
Local artists collaborated with science communities to create art that tells visual ecological stories that become interactive using mobile devices. This art gallery is outside a traditional venue, making WildWalls accessible to thousands of people daily.
JH Public Art worked with the selected local artists and a group of eco-partners including The Nature Conservancy, Grand Teton National Park Foundation, Trout Unlimited, Protect Our Water JH, Snake River Fund, Friends of the Bridger-Teton and Wyoming Untrapped to generate educational content that makes each mural come alive.
WildWalls helps beautify our alleys, which also serve as alternative walking venues downtown during the busy summer months. Printed maps for self-guided walking tours are available at locations across town and in digital versions.
