Resistance to innovation: A dynamic capability model based enquiry into retailers’ resistance to blockchain adaptation

Yogesh K. Dwivedi is a Professor of Digital Marketing and Innovation and Founding Director of the Digital Futures for Sustainable Business & Society Research Group at the School of Management, Swansea University, Wales, UK. In addition, he holds a Distinguished Research Professorship at the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune, India. Professor Dwivedi is also currently leading the International Journal of Information Management as its Editor-in-Chief. His research interests are at the interface of Information Systems (IS) and Marketing, focusing on issues related to consumer adoption and diffusion of emerging digital innovations, digital government, and digital and social media marketing particularly in the context of emerging markets. Professor Dwivedi has published more than 500 articles in a range of leading academic journals and conferences that are widely cited (more than 47 thousand times as per Google Scholar). He has been named on the annual Highly Cited Researchers™ 2020, 2021 and 2022 lists from Clarivate Analytics. Professor Dwivedi is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Government Information Quarterly and International Journal of Electronic Government Research, and Senior Editor of the Journal of Electronic Commerce Research.

Ronnie Das is an Associate Professor of Digital and Data Driven Marketing at Audencia Business School, France. Prior to joining Audenica, Ronnie has spent over a decade in UK higher education researching emerging technologies and application of machine learning in understanding marketing 4.0 and transformative consumer behavior. Ronnie’s research, with Newcastle University Urban Observatory, on Big Data driven insight into citizen behavior during COVID crisis was published by the World Economic Forum and London School of Economics Impact Blog. Ronnie has also chaired prestigious research workstreams and research hub (SuperGen Energy Network) committees funded by the UKRI (EPSRC). He has also successfully developed and delivered projects funded and supported by ING Economics. Ronnie has further own applied innovations challenges organized by the European Commission including EU Datathon 2020 and European Innovation Sprint.

Vincent Dutot is currently a full professor in MIS. He holds a HDR (IAE Poitiers) and a PhD from Laval University (Quebec, Canada) in Information Systems. His fields of interest are the impact of technology on performance, mainly through the focus of adoption, e-reputation, business model development, and strategic alignment of technology. His focus principally on SMEs following quantitative approaches. In addition, he is a digital consultant. He has given speeches, training, professional conferences and consulting sessions since 2007. The main topics of his work are: digital transformation, digital strategy and social media (performance and adoption).
