Greenwich Alliance for Education Launches Virtual, Augmented Reality S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp | Greenwich Free Press
The Greenwich Alliance for Education is partnering with Greenwich Schools veteran teacher and XR-enthusiast Gaspare Lipari to provide week-long immersive experiences that introduce a broad range of innovative disciplines within virtual and augmented reality. Participants will practice, play, design and build their own experiences.
“We are thrilled to help launch this summer programming for local students,” said Greenwich Alliance for Education executive director Julie Faryniarz in a release. “Gaspare’s passion and commitment to bring cutting edge experiences to our students will now be made available outside of the school year. Seeing what he has already accomplished with his Reaching Out Grant that brought virtual and augmented reality experiences to Western Middle School students, I know these camp participants are bound to have a fun, innovative summer.”
The weekly sessions begin July 5 and end August 5. All sessions are located at Western Middle School, and campers may register for multiple weeks or participate in any single week. Campers will be divided into two age groups:
• Rising 6th-8th Graders: Morning Session 8:30am – 11:30am
• Rising 9th-12th Graders: Afternoon Session 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Deadline to register is June 17, 2022, and early bird pricing has been extended to June 5 – sign up soon to save $20.
