Virtualness inks an exclusive multi-year Web3 deal to PBA’s digital collectibles

Virtualness has just signed an excellent deal with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). This happens to be a multi-year Web3 deal. Besides other factors, the prime aim and intention of this collaboration is for all Filipino basketball fans to be able to engage in a far better and different way with the PBA.

Fundamentally, this will be achievable by designing and minting branded digital-based paraphernalia. Along with that, there will also be the provision of displaying and selling them in a more effective way. In this case scenario also, absolute new-age technology will be efficiently utilized. All of this together will provide the fans with a much more enhanced experience.

To understand exactly how this joining of hands will bring about immense changes in the ways of interaction between the worldwide fans and the PBA, it becomes necessary to delve a bit more into what these two entities entail. On its part, Virtualness happens to be a mobile-first platform that has been built, providing simpler ways for all builders and brands to traverse the arena of Web3.

It has duly been founded by Kirthiga Reddy and Saurabh Doshi, who happen to be this industry’s absolute stalwarts sometime in 2022. For the entity, the builders hold top priority. They are actively engaged in creating the playbook, which will help in matters of easy design, proper exchanges, and smooth digital commerce. Brands will be in the position of utilizing the platform for designing, minting, and display of branded digital paraphernalia.

The Philippine Basketball Association, on the other hand, is an entire men’s professional basketball league. This comprises twelve company-branded franchised teams. It also happens to be the very first basketball league in all of Asia.

It also has the distinction of being second only to the NBA. It is immensely popular all over the globe and has garnered for itself millions of basketball fans.

According to the commissioner of PBA, Willie Marcial, it was only expected that the next step in matters of progression would be to provide an out-of-this-world experience for millions of Filipino basketball fans globally. Therefore, after much deliberation, it was finally decided to join hands with the Virtualness platform, which also shares a similar vision and through whose technical prowess where the Web3 arena is concerned will prove to be immensely beneficial.
